The build upon the momentum, Howe held Pilot Point to a fourand-out punt However, Pilot Point punter Jaimie Tavera pinned Howe deep at their own 11 yard line Howe was unable to muster a drive and punted it back The Bearcats took advantage of the short field that started at their own 48 yard line and scored eight plays later on a Quincy Kemp 3-yard run Kemp also threw a 2-point conversion to quarterback Jacob Pitts to tie the game a 8-8.

14-8 lead Again going for the 2point conversion, Harvey hit Mason Riggs in the endzone to give Howe a 16-8 lead with 7:15 left in the second quarter
The Bearcats, playing for their playoff hopes also, drive six plays and 63 yards to answer Howe with another Kemp touchdown, this one from the five yard line The Dogs' Ty Harvey intercepted the 2-point conversion and Howe retained the lead at 16-14
Both team traded punts before the the half and Pilot Point opened the third quarter with the ball and a chance to take the lead, however, Howe turned away the Bearcats on a crucial fourth down conversion which gave the Dogs the ball at their own 36 yard line
The Bulldogs had all of the momentum in the game and the drive was shaping to be a backbreaker to the Bearcats thanks to Andrew Griffin and his powerful running attack But Howe faced a third and four at the Bearcat 46 yard line and attempted a pass which resulted in a sack back to the Howe 49 That ended the drive with a punt and also ended the momentum for Howe for the remainder of the game
