Lady Bulldogs shoot down Bowie for championship

Prior to Thursday’s one-game, winner takes all Bi-District Playoff game against the Bowie Lady Rabbits, Lady Bulldogs head coach Adam Rupert was asked what it would take for his Lady Bulldogs to come out on top.

“Anything can happen in a one game series and Bowie is a very good team They play in a very competitive district so you can throw seedings out the window Should be a fun night!”

For the Lady Bulldogs it was a fun night at NCTC Darwin Fields, until the last inning that is The Lady Bulldogs never trailed in the game and carried a comfortable 9-1 lead into the bottom of the 6th It quickly got uncomfortable as the Lady Rabbits tallied five total runs in the 6th and 7th innings

The game was never in doubt until late as Howe got on the board first in the top of the first as Peyton Streetman who was hit by a pitch scored on a deep ground ball to short by Kayla Anderson

Streetman and Anderson would score in the third inning on line drive double nto the gap by Dani Ross One run in the bottom of the third helped Bowie close its deficit to 3-1
