Some of you may have noticed little flag stakes around Denny Street coming in to Howe. TxDOT has a plan to rehabilitate and repair the street which also serves as the State Highway 5.

DL Lennon, Inc has again been awarded the contract and the contractor, who also repaired FM 902 will rework the pavement base on the roadway shoulders, apply a seal coat to weatherize the shoulders and roadway, and widen drainage structures along this stretch of Highway 5

Road work already began in Collin County on Dec 2 and is making its way towards Howe after having already started in Van Alstyne.

The total cost of the repair is $3.7 million and the completion date is set for March of 2016

DL Lennon Inc was also awarded a contract for more than $7 3 million to repair and rehabilitate the pavement on FM 902 from US 377 to State Highway 289 in Grayson County
