One thing I've learned this week about running a news "paper" in Howe is that I clearly don't know enough about livestock shows and that I have a lot of work to do before next year's Texoma Livestock Show at Loy Lake The only thing I really know about pigs is that the taste really good and their hide makes a pretty good football This week's edition from the livestock show aspect was a community participation event and I want to thank all of those who helped me with photos and information. I'll try and make sure I'm more prepared for 2016.

I do believe that we're in the clear now and past the snow and sleet portion of our lives this year That means Operation Prettiest Little Town in Texas should be in full swing and we're asking everyone to participate Please plant zinnias in your flower beds and along your landscaping There are several businesses already participating in the zinnia project including Salvage Junky, Howe Mercantile and others. Lets make and Keep Howe Beautiful. Together we can do anything.

Weather sets back Bulldog baseball plans

After several games have been washed away due to the flurry of wintry mix storms, the Howe Bulldogs baseball team will be starting their district season on Tuesday night without the luxury of learning who fits where on the team

"We should've started last weekend in Farmersville Head

We had a tournament that was completely cancelled." said head coach Torrey Ognoskie.

Due to the weather and the successful basketball season, which made the playoffs again, some of the members of the team got on the field for the first time with an "pick up game" in continued on Page #4
