A thriving artists’ colony, Bluffton has been designated as an official Cultural District by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which recognizes and supports the creative arts communities throughout the state. Painting, sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry, and fabric arts are showcased in the galleries and

workshops housed in historic cottages throughout Old Town Bluffton. And local vendors set up most Thursday afternoons at the Farmers Market of Bluffton on Calhoun Street, offering delicious prepared food as well as fresh produce from the farms in the area.
