he lifeless body of a 54-year-old man was found on his bed inside an apartment that he occupied at Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) on Wednesday. Azad Khan was last seen about 07:00h by his landlord before he left for work. However, about 17:30h, when his landlord returned home and attempted to contact Khan, his efforts proved futile. Police were summoned to the scene. The body was examined by detectives, but no marks of violence were found. However, Police observed matter regurgitated from the stomach on his bed and in his mouth.
Khan was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty. His body was subsequently taken to the Ezekiel Funeral Home to await a post-mortem. The investigations continue.
