Melbourne Press Club Iftar Dinner 28th April, 2022
The Melbourne Press Club and the Australian Intercultural Society hosted the 2022 Media lftar Dinner at Graduate House on 28th April. The event, held in combined rooms in the Stella Langford Wing was attended by 80 guests. The attendees consisted of members from a crosssection of Melbourne’s diverse society who came together to reflect, meet, engage in conversation and enjoy the traditions of hospitality that are an important part of the Muslim community.
During the evening, the panellists addressed this year’s topic, “Conflation of religion and nationalism in authoritarian rule”. Among the guest who attended the Iftar Dinner was Father Bob Maguire, pictured below, with Hospitality Manager, Mrs Rosie Ellul.
