A Kind Word

In the summertime, we found things to entertain
I can remember when a kind word was spoken to
ourselves. We were blessed with a creek down in the
me when I was feeling low. It sure brightened up my
pasture behind our house to walk down to. It was always
sad heart! What kind word can you share today? Tell
an adventure as we walked past cows, trying to stay in the trail the cows had made going to the creek. By the time we made the halfmile hike down there, we were ready to cool off in that cold creek water. We would wade out into the shallow water, splashing each other. If we were really brave, we would duck down into the water, even getting our heads wet. Did I tell you how cold the water was? It was such a great way to cool off on a hot summer day. It was also there that I learned how to skip rocks across the top of the water. It was something we had to work at to get right. First, you had to find just the right-sized flat rock. Then, holding
