R
ally UP International Church and Ministries is a local church founded by Detrick and Toris Redding in Rome, GA, in 2007. Non-denominational and multicultural, Rally UP
seeks to build individuals, families, marriages, children, and young adults through God’s written word so that each one has a healthy spirit, body, and soul, supplying the gifts that God has placed in them accordingly. They believe each individual in the Body of Christ is vitally important for God’s will to be done in and through the local church. This is the reason for the God-given mission statement, “Building Lives Through the Word of God So Every Joint Supplies.”
Today, Rally UP is located at 2460 Shorter Avenue, Rome, GA, in Ollie’s Shopping Center. The culturally diverse church family is growing spiritually and in number and continues Detrick began preaching and teaching at the age of eighteen and was a youth leader and youth pastor in the local church. He and Toris met and married in 2004 and began attending Bible college together in 2006, at which time he began praying about the start of an outreach ministry. In 2007 during the second year of Bible college, he and Toris had peace from God to begin teaching Bible studies and holding community outreaches, providing physical needs in the community, and sharing the love of Jesus. Everything from clothes and shoes to bedding and small appliances were handed out for free to those in need, as well as meals hot off the grill. The Bible studies began to grow from their home to a community center, then to a local hotel banquet room. Within a year, Detrick knew God was moving upon his heart to add to the outreach a local church assembly and fellowship. In 2008, the church launched in the hotel banquet room meeting every Sunday until 2011. The church obtained its own location, and the fellowship began to grow. The Father’s Closet was added, which God filled with toiletries, clothes, shoes, some household items, and canned/boxed goods to offer to those in need in the community. Each Friday, hot meals were served for lunch along with life-building Bible study and prayer to the attendees. Bible study began one night a week and Sunday morning worship to spiritually build individuals. A separate women’s and men’s fellowship were also launched, W.O.W Women’s Ministry and Man-UP Men’s Ministry, along with a children’s ministry using the curriculum Super Kids.

to thrive. Bible study meets Tuesday/ Thursday at 11:45 a.m., Prayer on Wednesday at 5 p.m., and Sunday Worship at 11 a.m. W.O.W. Women’s Ministry continues to host bi-monthly two-day fellowship gatherings on Friday and Saturday, providing lunch and dynamic ministers pouring truth from God’s Word and are open to all women. The ministry seeks to raise up women from all walks of life—from traumas, failures, poor life choices, and disappointments to be strong, effective Godly leaders in their sphere of influence, like Deborah in the Book of Judges chapter four and five. Man-UP held its first men’s gathering this year, building men to be vocal, active leaders in their homes, churches, communities, and beyond. Man-UP seeks to cause men from all walks to know their vital importance to every facet of life and the absolute need of having their steps ordered by the Lord (Psalm 37:23). With the children’s attendance growing so quickly, Rally UP prepares to launch the Children’s ministry with the use of the Super Kids curriculum, which seeks to raise awareness and confidence in children to boldly be Jesus’s disciples on the earth. A new addition to Rally UP is the accredited Bible College Ministry International Institute, from which Detrick and Toris graduated in 2007 and now instructs. Classes launched in December of 2021 and meet one night a week. We are excited to be an active part of our community and welcome you to visit.
