The Greatest Gift
from December 2020
by Bekah Prytherch
Do you like Christmas presents? Well, I do! Did you know that there will never be a Christmas present as great as a Christmas present that we received over 2000 years ago!?! You can think of all the Christmas presents in the entire world that would be amazing and cool, but

none of them can compare to the one that we got in Bethlehem on that Christmas night, when Jesus was born in a manger. Luke 2 tells us about the birth of Jesus and I encourage you to read this and learn all about Jesus’ birth.
I think it is so cool that we all share this gift. Sometimes it’s hard to share things, but this is a gift that we want to share with everybody. Not only do you want to share it, but it is a gift given to everybody and everyone in the whole world that was born or will be born! Everyone can have this gift! And the best part is that it is free for all! All we have to do is receive this wonderful, free gift.
The greatest gift that I am talking about is Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin Mary on that Christmas night and he came to this world to give us a free gift of eternal life, so someday we can live in heaven with him. He died on the cross for you and for me and He took all of our sins so we could be free! His gift is free to all of us, because he already paid it in full! Have you received this gift from him, eternal life to live forever in heaven? “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger” (Luke 2:11-12).
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).
