Why Do We Worship?

he purpose of worship is to give God praise, glory, and honor; we worship Him out of reverence and respect because He is worthy of all the praise. Our spirits desire to be obedient and give our best. He made man in the likeness of His image. Genesis 1:26: “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’” God is a very important part of our universe. He made the waves come in and go out again upon the waters, the sunrise and sunset, the moon, and so much more. Psalm 107:29: “He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.” When it seems we go through a dry wilderness, or when the storms of life are raging, we simply must remember to put the waves all over His feet and let Him take the lead. He’s only a small call away. Whisper His name Jesus. Whisper His name Jesus. Whisper His name Jesus. And He will answer you if you only just believe. Just have faith and trust in the Lord. The Heavenly Father is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and truth. According to the Word of God and the Gospel of salvation, our worship must come from our hearts as adoration for God. Christian worship involves praying, music, reading the Scriptures, and listening to various sorts of sermons. Worship must be distinguished by what we feel as the Spirit moves upon us.

A very important part of my life includes many of those listed above. I love to sing and listen to music every day. Music is a universal language. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter if the lyrics are in a language you can understand; in many cases, music in worship gives our hearts an awakening even without words. Above all this, we must remember not to leave out our heart-to-heart conversations with God. The Father and the Spirit should be honored as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 16:24: “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.’” Follow the Lord’s guidance and He will always be right beside you. He will not leave you. Remember, give Him your praise and worship. You can step into a new day and rise above all the lonely times. We have the power because He will give courage and strength. You can overcome. Pray, read, and study daily. Put all your trust in the Lord. He loves you even in your darkest hour. About The Author
