1. Why you start work has an artist? I've chosen this path for myself since childhood, and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. For example, from the age of 10 I studied at art school and drew every day. I went to the Academy of Arts in Ukraine. So my whole life has been about art. After delving into the study of psychology, I realized that in this way you can perfectly talk about complex subjects in a language that everyone understands. 2. What do you select your subject matter? Combining academic figurative painting with a new, daring and quick sense of incompleteness is my way of skeptically searching for sincerity. I turn to the original innocence and sincerity in search for the beginning of everyone's life in this world: through the union of the spiritual and the material, wisdom, experienced academism and the playful adventurism of modernity, the female personal image, and the absolute nature. But whatever I find, I will cast aside to continue the search for a truer sense of home within each of us.
3.How do you create one of your works/What's unique or unusual about your technique/ process? The fragmentary technique allows the human image to fluctuate, to be in a state of transition, and yet remain whole at the same time. Combining the dense materiality of the stroke and the semi-abstract airy touch of pure and deep color, I incorporate into the image seemingly incompatible things: empiricism and pragmatism, lightness and depth, clarity and spatial hesitation.
