THE MAKING OF A DOCTOR

Page 1

THE MAKING OF A DOCTOR “These are based on my interactions with Doctors on what they experienced during their academic career” As a kid I would get fascinated by young men and women walking the streets adoring a white apron and with a stethoscope in the pocket. “Can I become a doctor someday” This thought would occur in my mind most of the time.I would think that how I could treat people and prescribe medicines’ would also think how my own sibling’s and parents would treat me when I become a Doctor. As I student I was a good one and would excel in my studies. My teachers and parents were satisfied with my progress and I would get good appreciation.I always balanced my time between studies and leisure.I was never complacent and never took anything lightly.Though my parents were from the middle class but they would always provide what we needed. My school and high school went well and I passed with good marks. After my high school I immediately started preparing for my medical school entrance exam.I really toiled day and night and sat for the exam.At that very moment I knew I had done well and I assured my parents that I will have made to the final list. The day came and my name featured in the merit list. This was a real moment of joy and satisfaction, as I knew I had saved my parents the money which the didn’t have.
