A RIVERS SAD STORY

A RIVERS SAD STORY “The plight of rivers streams lakes makes one sad writing this to ally their suffering” My journey started from a mighty glacier as clean as snow of which it is made of. The glacier might be thousands of years old and has many tales to say. Had it not been for inhabitable terrain where its located at very high altitude the human beasts would have devoured it centuries ago. He being my parent provides me enough to satisfy the thirst of millions of humans animals and birds and to irrigate thousand of hectares enroute. I pass through the pristine woods ,valleys, ridges cutting my way all along here I am clean and pristine. More and more join me on my way and my might and strength gets increased. As my journey downwards goes on the human habitations also start to appear. I provide them with plenty of bounties and wealth. Though those living on higher pastures respect my sanctity but same is not the story everywhere. My journey continues on and on so does the human greed and necessity. Down below as I go I get fed into a mighty dam where I am stored and used for electricity generation and irrigation. My long wait in the dam robs me of many of my valuable nutrients as I become stale there. Upon my release from here my further journey continues. The density of habitation increases now and so does my stress and strain. I am lifted high up from my base and pumped into mighty overhead tanks and returned to homes through pipes .all kind of garbage and filth is in turn dumped into me making me stinky and diseased. Still I go on with sheer grit and determination. As I go further down I loose my volume and my habitat gets shrunk. Though many bridges are built on me so that human commuting does not suffer.
