Un monument du Rallye Monte-Carlo qui n’a pas été emprunté dans cette version depuis 2014, et qui forcément bouleverse les habitudes, avec des difficultés qui ne sont pas au même endroit. La montée depuis La Bollène-Vésubie vers le col de Turini (1607 m) ne pose aucun problème majeur vu son orientation géographique et sa topographie. Les difficultés sont à l’approche du col et dans les 5 premiers kilomètres de la descente, beaucoup plus délicate car côté Nord, là où la neige et la glace font partie intégrante du décor à cette période de l’année. Le rythme est ensuite plus régulier jusqu’à Moulinet avec notamment des portions de route très rapides… This is a classic stage at Monte-Carlo Rally but it has not been run in this direction since 2014, so that drivers habits will be completely disrupted, with difficulties appearing in different spots. Climbing from La Bollène-Vésubie towards Col de Turini (1,607m) offers no major issue thanks to the geographic orientation and the topography. It gets tougher when approaching the pass and in the first five kilometers of the downhill portion, and much more critical as it is exposed to the North, where snow and ice are an integral part of the scenery at this time of year.
