Gaia Skincare expands across Europe

Gaia Skincare reports growth on continental Europe

We speak to Diane Nettleton, founder of Gaia Skincare, about the spa brand’s ethos and its expansion plans

Inspired by the ancient Greek goddess known as Mother Nature, Gaia Skincare products are handmade in Britain using traditional production methods. Its founder, Diane Nettleton, has more than 40 years of hospitality experience. We discuss the brand’s concept and its growth in the market.

What makes Gaia Skincare unique for spas?

Gaia offers a complete solution for spas; the highest-quality natural products, exceptional treatments, in-depth training and consistent support, along with the option to offer amenities for guests. I truly understand the demands of running a successful spa, having done this in the south-west of England.

What are your most recent product and treatment launches?

This summer we launched the Everglowing Face & Body Treatment, which has been curated to uplift and revitalise both the mind and body. Our Mineral SPF Moisturiser is a broad-spectrum SPF 25+ sunscreen that provides protection against UVA and UVB rays while ensuring an eco-friendly, reef-safe approach.

How is sustainability part of your ethos?

Eco-consciousness is built into Gaia’s brand ethos, working in harmony with Mother Nature. Packaging is in bamboo and glass, with minimal plastic. We source products that are handmade locally with traditional artisan methods. We also operate a refill scheme and recently introduced refill pouches in our bath range. Our team travel using public transport whenever possible, and we also have a Gaia electric vehicle.

Where is the brand available?

Gaia is available at over 50 spa partners across the UK and Ireland, along with locations in South Africa and Europe. We have just signed our first account in Lithuania, which joins our three recent accounts in Europe at Le Primore in Hungary, Álkyna Lifestyle Beach Resort in Corfu and Helea Lifestyle Beach Resort in Rhodes. We’ve also partnered with the Ebrington Hotel in Northern Ireland. www.gaiaskincare.co.uk
