New cannabis company that pioneered dissolvable THC to sell fastacting edibles in Michigan

bis company known for its fast-acting edibles will soon begin selling its popular products in Michigan.

Ripple Michigan opened an 8,000-square-foot manufacturing and processing facility in Dimondale near Lansing.

Two of its founders — Missy Bradley and Justin Singer — grew up in metro Detroit.

The company has plans to distribute its products to more than 140 medical and recreational dispensaries in Michigan, and they will begin showing up on shelves next week. By March 21, the products will be widely available.

The products are water-soluble, and the company touts studies that show a measurable amount of THC enters the bloodstream within 10 minutes, compared to 30 minutes to two hours from fat-soluble products sold by other companies.

One of its most popular products, QuickDissolves, is a powder that you add to any food or drink.

“You can make everything an edible, and you can decide how you want to dose it,” Bradley, who grew up in West Bloomfield and is ipple’s vice president of marketing, tells Metro Times.

The company also sells fast-acting gummies and QuickSticks, which includes avored powder you place on your tongue.

The High Times Cannabis Cup is returning to Michigan

Well, that dream could soon become a reality when the High Times Cannabis Cup returns to Michigan this April. he people’s choice contest is inviting everyday pot smokers to judge the competition. retty much anyone who can legally buy recreational or medical cannabis in Michigan can participate.

So other than actually smoking cannabis, how do you become a judge? Here’s the deal. More than 00 udging kits with 1 to samples of ower, gummies, pre-rolls, vape cartridges, and more will be available at select Michigan dispensaries from April 16. ick one up sample the products and place your vote for each category.

The kits come in discreet, “smellproof” black backpacks with a huge High Times logo across the front. On second thought maybe that’s not really that discreet after all. hat’s the catch here isn’t one as long as you’re cool with paying 100 to 00 to get your hands on a bag. ast year’s annabis up in Michigan featured 76 brands and nearly 300 products, and even more are expected to join this year.

Judges are asked to give detailed comments on aroma, taste, aesthetics and effects of each product so ust smoking it up and saying, “yeah, that weed got me so high I thought I was in another dimension probably isn’t good enough.

While the Cannabis Cup goes way back to 1988 in Amsterdam, the people’s choice format began in 2021 after the in-person event was canceled due to COVID-19 in 2020. Before, famous folks like Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson were the ones doing the judging.
