As the New Holland Summer Arts Program (NHSAP) returns to the park for 2021, organizers have lined up more than 20 concerts, with six of the musical acts being new to the park venue or returning after many years. Performances will be held three times per week in the New Holland Community Memorial Park, located in the 400 block of Jackson Street in New Holland. Concerts will begin at 7 p.m., with the exception of the Saturday, Aug. 21, concert, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funds to help support NHSAP are raised by the annual arts and crafts show
sponsored by the organization. This year’s show will be held in the park on Saturday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sue Noll, secretary/treasurer for NHSAP, said organizers have lined up more than 60 vendors for the rain-or-shine event. Among the vendors will be those selling jewelry, hand-carved bowls and rustic home furnishings, handthrown pottery, paper crafts, wall art, on-site caricatures, gourd birdhouses, stained glass, vinyl signs, bags, soaps, lotions, candles, baby teethers, and lawn ornaments. One vendor will demonstrate making pottery, and most of the crafters will donate items to a Chinese auction, which will be held at

than 13,000 students have been screened. Due to an increase in the number of local teenagers at risk for anxiety, depression, and suicide in Lancaster County in the last year, as well as the virtual schooling that has occurred during the pandemic, TeenHope is developing a fully digital screening process. The transition to digital has been fueled by the donations of many individual supporters, as well as local organizations such as the High Foundation, which contributed a $15,000 grant, and LOHF, which provided a total of $30,000 in grants.

Samaritan Counseling Center reminds community members that it offers resources to help support teenagers on their journey toward mental health and wellness. Among these resources is TeenHope, a mental health program that screens middle and high school students at Lancaster County schools for anxiety, depression, and suicide risk. After youths are identified as at-risk, TeenHope collaborates with parent and teenagers to connect them with mental health resources in the area through referral recommendations. Since the program’s beginning in 2013, more
