Bible Conference To Kick Off New Season

Pastor, speaker, and comedian Gordon Douglas will return to reopen the “Pop” Fry Tabernacle for the first time since 2019 to begin the 72nd season at Fivepointville Bible Conference. Joining Douglas will be husband and wife singer-songwriter duo SweetLife on Saturday, June 12, at 7 p.m., rain or shine in the enclosed tabernacle. The program will include a hymn sing. Fivepointville Bible Conference is located in the grove behind the Fivepointville Fire Company on Chapel Lane, just off Route 897 in Denver.

Columbia-based SweetLife consists of Matt and Carol Frigm, who play songs about life and love. The couple’s original music, videos, and more can be found at www.SweetLifeMusic.com.

Our Lady of Lourdes New Holland Knights of Columbus Council 13451 will sell tickets for its annual chicken barbecue fundraiser after Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, on Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13.

The chicken barbecue will take place on Saturday, June 19, at Keen Compressed Gas Company, 580 Main St., New Holland, from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Each dinner will include a halfchicken, baked potato, roll, beverage and dessert. Half-chickens will also be available separately. For meals and separate half-chickens, there will be a discount for those who purchase tickets in advance.
