Inaugural Plastic Purge Scheduled The inaugural Plastic Purge of the Lower Susquehanna, a cleanup event around Lake Clarke on the Susquehanna River, will take place on Saturdays, Oct. 31 and Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association and its partners, including the Penn State Master Watershed Stewards of York, Lancaster, Lebanon, and Dauphin counties; the Watershed Alliance of York; and the York County Coalition for Clean Waters. This large-scale cleanup will take place around Lake Clarke on the Susquehanna River on both sides of the river and everywhere in between. Plastics, tires, litter, and other debris

The lunch will include roasted turkey, filling, mashed potatoes and dessert. Food will be prepared by The Gathering Place with funding from the Mount Joy Rotary.
