HundredsofmembersofPeoples Democratic Party, PDP led by Alhaja Aolat Olatunde, the party's Women Leader at Ward C comprising Alausa, Olusosun and Oregun in Ikeja area of Lagos on MondaydefectedtotheAllProgressives Congress,APC.

ThePDPmembershingedtheirdecision to abandon the PDP on their desire to support the ambition of APC presidentialcandidate,BolaTinubu. While confirming this during the defection event, Olatunde said the personality of Sen Bola Tinubu attractedherandotherstotheAPC. “Tinubuisanenigmawhohasassisteda lot of people irrespective of their tribal, political or religious affiliations and I also benefitted from him when he was thegovernorofLagos.
“We can also see the good works of Sanwo-Olu These and many other reasons prompted our decision to join theAPC.
“We have strong PDP members across IkejanamelyAlausa,Olusosun,Oregun, Opebi,Onigbogbo,OnirekeandCement among others that defected with me. More are willing to join the APC,'' she said.
The PDP members were received into APC at Alausa, Lagos by the Director-
General, Independent Campaign CounciloftheAPC,MrTayoAyinde.
Ayinde said the new PDP members wouldcontributetoAPC'svictoryinthe forthcomingelection.
Ayinde, also the Chief of Staff to Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State congratulatedthenewmembersofAPC fortheirdecision.
He assured them of fairness and equal treatmentwitholdmembers.

“I want to congratulate the people of Alausa because today's event is important and unique in the sense that thisisournationalleader'swardwhichis WardC,AlausaIkeja.
“Today,allthePDPmembersinAlausa, Ikeja, which is the ward of our national leader, had said to us that they are decampingtoAPC.

PDPinthisward,AlhajaAolatOlatunde, whohadcalledmeandshetoldmethat shehaddecidedtojointherulingparty
“Shetoldmethatherdecisiontojointhe party was to use her influence to ensure victoryforthepresidentialcandidateand also because of the massive support for Asiwaju in the north and other geopoliticalzones,''hesaid.
Ayinde promised to work with all party memberstoensurevictoryfortheparty's presidentialcandidate,Sen.BolaAhmed Tinubuandforotherpartycandidatesin thestate.
He enjoined members of other political partytocometotherulingpartybecause of the massive development embarked uponbythecurrentadministration.
He said it was obvious that there had been massive development, across the nooksandcranniesofthestate.
Also speaking at the event, APC chieftain, Cardinal James Odumbaku popularly called “Baba Eto'' noted that Tinubu stands for progressive politics, the reason why people kept associating withhim.
“We give kudos to our national leader, Tinubu; his works speak for him and attracted many opposition members to his party over the years,'' Odumbaku said.
