ARIZONA RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES FALL ARIZONA RESTAURANT WEEK DATES AND PARTICIPANTS
‘T
is the season for the return of one of the most popular culinary events of the year! The Arizona Restaurant Association announced the arrival of its 2019 Fall Arizona Restaurant Week (ARW), which takes place from Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 29. During these 10 days, diners can take advantage of three-course meals and prix-fixe menus for just $33 or $44 per person at participating restaurants around the state. “Consumer demand for restaurants in Arizona has been the highest it’s ever been and that’s why we see such support each year during both Spring and Fall Restaurant Week,” says Arizona Restaurant Association president and CEO Steve Chucri. “We are proud to be leading the charge in an initiative that helps diners discover some of the best local, chef-driven restaurants as well as support some of the most well-known restaurants in the state.”
This year marks the 12th anniversary of Arizona Restaurant Week, a twicea-year opportunity (including Spring Arizona Restaurant Week, which takes place in May) for local food aficionados to indulge in some of the state’s finest menus and discover hidden local gems while also giving Arizona chefs a chance to showcase their culinary creativity beyond their regular menus. Current participating restaurants include Artizen, Barrio Queen, Chart House, Chelsea’s Kitchen, Deseo at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa, Eddie Merlots, Elements at the Sanctuary, Fuego Biestro, Hearth 61, Kovo Modern Mediterranean, Ling & Louie’s, Mowry & Cotton, Paul Martin’s American Grill, Preston’s Steakhouse, Rusconi’s American Grill, Salut Kitchen Bar, The Covenant, The Keg Steakhouse & Bar, The Sicilian Butcher, Timo Wine Bar, Urban Margarita and many more. HITTING THE HIGH NOTES OF CAVE CREEK’S MUSIC SCENE By Molly Cerreta Smith
C
ave Creek is a sleepy, Old West small town that takes visitors on a trip back in time to the Wild West days. Featuring outdoor activities thanks to an endless network of trails within the surrounding Sonoran Desert on which horseback riders, hikers and cyclists alike can share the pathways, shops and restaurants, Cave Creek is worth a visit for out of towners and locals alike. For those that enjoy live music and like to support local musicians, here are the “high notes” of Cave Creek’s burgeoning music scene. THE BUFFALO CHIP Encompassing five acres and more than 6,000 square feet of land, the Buffalo Chip is one of the most authentic dance halls and saloons around the country. Originally opened as a feed and bait shop in 1951, today the Buffalo Chip features multiple bars, free dance lessons four nights a week, bull riding, mutton bustin’, a vast menu of BBQ and Cowboy chow classics, and, of course, live music. Guests can kick up their boots to live bands every night of the week except Mondays. www.buffalochipsaloon.com scottsdalenorthnews.com

Every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., things start rockin’
at Indigo Crow with live music from the likes of Jonathan Livingston, the Southwest Diamond Duo, Roger Enrico, Steve Howes and more. www. cavecreekcrow.com
JANEY’S COFFEE CO.
