LUXURY BUILDER CULLUM HOMES IS STACKING “LEGO-LIKE”

HOME IN THE VILLAGE AT SILVERLEAF FOR CHARITY NATIONAL CUSTOM HOME BUILDER OF THE YEAR AND SCOTTSDALE BASED LUXURY CUSTOM HOME BUILDER CULLUM HOMES WILL BEGIN LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR THEIR “LEGO-LIKE,” 4,415-SQUARE-FOOT HOUSE THIS WEEK IN THE VILLAGE AT SILVERLEAF COMMUNITY. Insulated Concrete Forms are frequently compared to Legos, so Cullum Homes and ICF Specialists Ltd. are teaming up to build this block toy concept in support of Special Olympics Arizona. This is the first time it has been done in Scottsdale.Because of the concrete and foam construction, ICF structures are extremely energy efficient, soundproof, reduce up to 70% air pollution from the outside, and are resistant to hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and termites. These homes are not only beneficial to the environment and communities, but they allow for a unique opportunity to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Arizona necessities. “Cullum Homes is proud to support Special Olympics Arizona, and we look forward to

helping raise awareness and much needed funding for their programs here in Arizona. The Silverleaf community and it's residents are very philanthropically minded, and our unique project featuring ICF (insulated concrete form) ‘building blocks’ in The Village at Silverleaf provides the perfect setting to shine a spotlight on Special Olympics and the services they provide here in Arizona,” said Rod Cullum, founder and owner of Cullum Homes.

Cullum says the homes ‘Lego-like’ appearance will only be temporary. The home, which has already been sold, will eventually be covered by stucco and painted this spring. There are currently four remaining lots and two for-sale model homes available for purchase in The Village at Silverleaf. Cullum’s other current projects include The Village at Seven Desert Mountain, The Village at Mountain Shadows, Cholla Heights, Paradise Reserve and the Ironwood Golf Villas. There are currently lots and/or move in ready homes available in many of those communities, as well.

BE BALLOT READY FOR 2020 ELECTIONS WITH NEW MARICOPA COUNTY WEBSITE MARICOPA COUNTY VOTERS NOW HAVE A NEW WAY TO FIND OUT EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ELECTIONS IN 2020: BEBALLOTREADY.VOTE. Voters can make changes to their voter information, find what upcoming elections they are eligible for, sign up for text alerts, explore the new ballot style and more. The Maricopa County Elections Department and Maricopa County Recorder’s Office launched the website with a new campaign to educate voters about the March 17 Democratic Presidential Preference Election and how to Be Ballot Ready for elections in 2020. Ads will run in both English and Spanish across a variety of platforms. The County is investing in voter education to improve the voter experience. A key piece of this campaign is to inform voters that only

registered Democrats can participate in the Presidential Preference Election on March 17. “We are expecting historic voter turnout in 2020, so it’s important that we do everything we can to make sure voters are informed about upcoming elections,” said Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Clint Hickman, District 3. “Be Ballot Ready is an easy way for residents to find everything they need from looking up whether they are registered to vote, to when’s their next election, and what’s on their ballot.”
