Neighbors
Hello Neighbor! before going to work. I work as the executive director at Nourish Phoenix, so I spend the day helping people in our food and clothing bank. In the afternoon, I’m working on the Nourish Phoenix finances or calling people who may want to volunteer and donate and then by 3 p.m., I’m back at my son’s school for pickup duty. I also work on other administrative duties for the nonprofit and volunteer for the parent organization at my son’s school.
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… friendship. MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… on an tropical island eating some fresh sushi and snorkeling all day. THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED IS… listen to others and don’t judge.
MY FAMILY IS… my rock. ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS… cheese. MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY IS… “Somewhere in Time” with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, because it’s a classic love story. WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… an owner of an ice cream shop. THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… “Rebel Yell,” by Billy Idol. Yes, I grew up in the 1980s. THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my son and my former mentor, who was a state senator. He has since passed, but I always think about how he inspired me to think outside the box and to do more. HI, MY NAME IS… Beth Fiorenza. I’VE LIVED IN THE VALLEY SINCE 1990 AND I CURRENTLY LIVE IN PARADISE VALLEY AND LOVE IT BECAUSE… I love the heat (it’s much better than the cold). A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… getting up early, getting ready for work, and then getting my son up to get ready for school. THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT WAS… I took the whole family (including grandparents) to make their own candles and it was a hoot! THE PERFECT DAY IS… spending the day with my son hiking or anywhere outdoors. MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… Nourish Phoenix, of course! MY LIFE IS… beautiful.
