What is involved in being recruited to a volunteer position? ‘Preparing to Volunteer’ will provide you with all the information that you need to find, learn and thrive in a volunteer position supporting your local community.
This 1.5 hour workshop is designed for people who have responsibility for coordinating volunteers. It will assist you to design the right opportunities to meet how people want to volunteer, to promote your volunteer opportunities, screen and assess people to ensure you get the right volunteer for your group /organisation and lastly it will give the basics to onboard your volunteers.

Topics also include: managing difficult conversations, empowering Volunteers, managing expectations, best practice and ample time for group discussion and Q&A time.
