Delight in the vibrant restaurant and café culture of the bustling beachfront esplanade in Mooloolaba and explore the burgeoning Ocean Street precinct in Maroochydore.

Fun for everyone - Feast on gourmet delights by the sidewalk, sip a cocktail in a bar, or soak up some live music; Ocean Street in Maroochydore has become a hive of cultural activity. Or head over to Sunshine Plaza, the largest shopping centre on the Coast, where you will find hundreds of retail stores, restaurants and cinemas.

If you fancy some fresh seafood, take a trip to Mooloolaba Spit or hop on one of the many fishing charters to catch your own. From June to November, you can venture out on a whale watching cruise - and even have the chance to swim with humpbacks. If you prefer an ocean adventure on dry land, take the kids to Sea Life Mooloolaba, where you can discover thousands of marine and freshwater animals.

Secret spots - There are many spectacular sandy beaches to enjoy in the Mooloolaba to Marcoola region. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to have a family picnic by the water, check out Cotton Tree. There are many great eateries to uncover along this stretch, as well as barbecue areas and plenty of shady trees to have a nap under. The kids will love paddling around in the shallows, while kids of all ages will enjoy the popular outdoor table tennis tables.

Take a trip up the hill to the quaint village of Buderim, where there are cute little art galleries and boutique shops to explore, as well as bakeries where you can enjoy a quiet cup of tea and slice of cake. To really escape, venture into the Buderim Forest Park where you can surround yourself with trees and dip your toes into the water at Serenity Falls.
