EQUALITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION Equal Status Acts 2000-2015 make it unlawful to discriminate on the grounds of age, race, membership of the Traveller Community, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, family status and civil status. Providers of accommodation services must not discriminate against someone on grounds of ‘housing assistance’ i.e. in receipt of rent supplement, housing assistance or other social welfare payments

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Unit in UCC was established to enable students and staff to be proactive about equality issues and to fight discrimination.
