Her photos capture the Coastal Feel with birds, wildlife, sea life and more. The partnership with her husband is both personal and professional as he has designed the creative computer software which she uses on her photos to create a Sfumato effect. The technique produces a soft transition between colors or as Leonardo DiVinci said “without line or borders, in the manner of smoke or beyond the focus plane..” The art effect is where it looks more like a watercolor and kind of romanticized.. Baker has opened a beautiful gallery in the Rockport Cultural Arts District at with her larger format art pieces and photos transformed onto practical and decorative uses as coasters, tiles, cutting boards and bedspreads.
