Caldwell Visitors Center Museum The Caldwell Visitors Center Museum is open every day in the Civic Center at the corner of State Highway 31 and Main Street. Filled with city antiquity, the museum tells the history of the early pioneers of Burleson County, and the financial and community growth of the City of Caldwell. On display is artifacts from former businesses, school memorabilia, and individuals that made the City of Caldwell what it is today. Burleson County Czech Heritage Society
As a chapter of the larger state group, the Burleson County Czech Heritage Society is proud to promote and preserve Czech heritage in the county. With most members being of direct Czech descent, it’s not hard for this group to keep traditions alive and well in Burleson County. They host a Czech Heritage Dinner and Dance in October for Czech Heritage Month. Quarterly meetings are held at the Cooks Point Community Center at 2 pm. Meetings are advertised in the local newspaper. The Czech Heritage Society awards a yearly scholarship to a graduating senior in the county of Czech descent. They also sponsor girls for local, state, and national Miss Czech-Slovak competitions.
