Enroll in Career Exploration Camp or a course at LSC-Kingwood

Lone Star College-Kingwood has a variety of educational programs and courses for both children and adults. The college’s Career Exploration Camp will focus on various topics for area teenagers ages 13-15 years old. Offered courses include cosmetology, art, engineering, health care, information technology, leadership, and more.

The Career Exploration Camp will offer a cosmetology course for teenagers interested in pursuing a career in that field. The summer camp will explore a myriad of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) industries. Attendees can take a health care program such as phlebotomy, EKG monitoring, or clinical medical assistant.

Camp participants will have an opportunity to express themselves through art in the “A Touch of Clay” class. Students will learn about engineering, design, and other related fields at the Career Exploration Camp.

All programs will take place on campus June 6-9 and June 13-16 from 1-5 p.m. The cost is $115 per week. Registration for the summer and fall semesters at LSC-Kingwood is now open. The college offers a variety of workforce programs, credit, and continuing education (high-demand, fast-track) classes. These pathways can lead to an associate degree, a bachelor’s degree, transfer hours to a four-year institution, or a new career. Courses are available face-to-face, online, and hybrid at the main campus and the satellite facilities, LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC-Process Technology Center.
