Floral inspiration for every aspect of your wedding day
With restriction-free weddings on the horizon (fi ngers crossed), we couldn’t help but wonder how fl ower trends will have altered during this strange time. Will bouquets, backdrops and arrangements have become more pared-back and intimate in style? Or will couples want to make the most of fi nally being able to tie the knot with grand fl oral displays? We’ve pulled together some incredible fl oral options and ideas to inspire you. Enjoy!
Bouquets

“White and green is still a favourite combination for bouquets. However, we’re also seeing a move towards more mixed palettes with colours ranging from yellows, oranges, purples, cerise and lime green.” – Vanessa Wellock, Wildfl owers “With weddings that have already taken place, or are due to go ahead shortly after lockdown, I’ve found that couples are sticking with their original order and designs. They’re tending to be a little more extravagant even if the wedding is smaller.” – Vanessa Wellock, Wildfl owers

Beautiful backdrops

When it comes to colours, bright and bold are the order of the day. Brides and grooms are moving away from the traditional pastel palettes and adorning their day with vibrant hues instead. Expressing your personality through your fl owers will make the perfect backdrop to your day.
“We’re seeng a move towards half archways, full moon gates and fl oating installations to wow guests. There’s a defi nite natural infl uence still, with lots of foliage and metallic accents.” – Vanessa Wellock, Wildfl owers
Couples have been eagerly anticipating celebrating with their loved ones – and you’ll want to capture the moment. A gorgeous Insta-worthy backdrop will be a focal point for photographs that you’ll cherish for years to come.
As well as beautiful suspended fl orals, we’re also loving the more grounded look. A free-fl owing meadow-inspired arrangement down the aisle, a staircase draped in blooms or a cake table surrounded by luscious fl orals will create a dreamy, whimsical vibe.

“If your venue is suitable for a hanging installation, then go for it. They look amazing and create a high-level visual that looks incredible in photographs. A couple of statement designs will give a dramatic effect, rather than lots of smaller pieces.” – Vanessa Wellock, Wildflowers
Venue styling
Filling your venue with flowers will look incredible, but it’s good to think about the environmental impact that it can have as well. Couples are making more conscious choices with their flowers by choosing locally grown blooms and multi-use arrangements that can be moved from your ceremony to reception. After not being able to see our family and friends for so long, it’s time to keep those table centrepieces low and sociable to allow conversation to flow.
With microweddings here to stay, couples are opting for small, delicate florals on the tables with warming candlelight. Attention to detail is key here to create an intimate vibe.
