oth Anna and James had just downloaded a dating app when they struck lucky and matched with each other. They decided to meet for coffee outside Hendon Underground station. “I was taken by his eyes and kindness,” Anna says. “James says he loved my hair and smile – our first kiss was electric!” Both knew it was meant to be, and James soon decided it was time to pop the question. “He proposed during the first lockdown,” Anna tells us. “The pandemic had heightened our love for each other and our desire to be together.” The happy couple quickly got to work planning their dream day for 12th September, 2020, at Holiday Inn Camden Lock. It was short notice, but they were keen to make the celebration their joint 40th and 65th birthday party too. Anna continues the story… 43
