Hotel du Vin Poole has fully refurbished its guest bedrooms, suites, and bathrooms to refresh the décor with nautical nods that ooze quiet luxury and sophistication.
The refurbishment of the 38 rooms found within this impressive Georgian-style building includes the addition of a bold colour scheme that blends statement orange hues with relaxing blue, teal and grey tones that speaks to the seaside location in a modern way.
The four-star Hotel was initially built in 1776 as the Mansion House, and the refurbishment blends original features with the signature Hotel du Vin style. The newly updated décor embraces texture and warmth while taking inspiration from Poole’s maritime heritage and its popularity as a seaside holiday resort. Many rooms feature whimsical beach hut print wallpaper, with artwork and accessories featuring seagulls, shellfish and nautical motifs informed by the area’s culture.
The rooms feature comfortable hand-sprung mattresses, fine Egyptian linen, deep baths, powerful drench showers, plasma TVs and air-conditioning.

Hampshire winery Hattingley Valley has released three new wedding packages tailored for intimate affairs to large all-out celebrations.
The Modest Bash, Not So Modest Bash and Bloody Big Bash packages cover celebrations of varied sizes and budgets, each including an intimate tasting ahead of the big day to help pairs identify their perfect pour.
Opt for the Modest Bash wedding package for smaller affairs filled with loved ones, which includes 24 bottles for approximately 144 glasses, while the Not So Modest Bash package provides 60 bottles for 360 drinks. In addition to a wine tasting for two, the Not So Modest Bash package also features a personalised, engraved magnum for the perfect souvenir for nearlyweds.
For bigger celebrations, the Bloody Big Bash package includes 120 bottles for 720 glasses to ensure weddings have a true Hattingley ever after. Andrew Smith, Owner of Andrew Smith Salons in Gosport, has been announced as a winner in The Cut Hair Awards 2023. The event is organised by consumer hairdressing publication Hair Magazine and highlights the brightest stars of the hair world through differnet categories.
Andrew was thrilled to be announced as the winner of The Colour Expert category, which recognises hair colourist fanatics that love conjuring up beautiful hues to make their clients look and feel incredible.
To enter the category, Andrew had to submit a written entry detailing five reasons why he’s genuinely a brilliant colourist, alongside photographic examples of his work and client testimonials. Andrew was then announced as a finalist alongside a large list of established industry professionals before being announced as the category winner.
