Charlotte and Josh’s wedding at Shuttleworth House had a yellow and cornflower blue colour scheme

These lovebirds were studying for their A-levels when they first met. After getting the only A in the class, Josh helped Charlotte revise for their exams, where they discovered their shared love of being outdoors. Just like that, their love story began! Josh popped the question on a woodland walk hunting for fungi on their 10th anniversary while Charlotte was engrossed in taking pictures. Here the bride shares details about their special day...

We love being outdoors with nature, so getting married amongst trees and flowers was a must!

We had a tree with the table names hanging from the branches for our wedding breakfast.

We wanted a more relaxed meal, so we had a family-sharing menu.

We had a live band called Mona Vale to entertain guests, who we’d highly recommend as they played a great range of songs. The band even learnt one of our favourite songs for the first dance.

We had a firework display as we started dating on the 5th of November.

The confetti throw, speeches, booging on the dancefloor and everyone singing along to the night’s final song were moments we will treasure forever.

We were so happy and couldn’t stop smiling – it was the best day of our lives!

A massive thank you to Kate Atalay Bespoke Hairstyling for not only stepping in after my original hairdresser cancelled the day before the wedding, but doing such an incredible job with all our hair.

Our photographer Lorna captured the day perfectly and made everyone feel at ease in front of the camera. She helped organise all the guests and get them moving along to the next part of the day.
