'Green' buildings, 'green' transport and 'green' operations are becoming a prerequisite for doing business. Both the regulations and the social debate fed this trend. These days, reduction of the emission of CO2, NOX, and fine particulate matter is a common goal. Not only because of the harmful emissions, but also because of the noise pollution. The reduction of emissions is not only relevant now, but shall continue to be so in the future. Sustainability is part of the long-term strategy of Collé. This results in a proactive role.

Efficient consumption
The right machine with the right specifications for the right job ensures a perfect match. Together with the correct knowledge of the machine and its efficient use, a reduction of harmful emissions is achieved.

Effective maintenance
All machines are efficiently maintained and inspected by qualified technicians. This ensures longer equipment life and safe working conditions for operators. In addition, efficient maintenance reduces downtime and therefore promotes optimum use, resulting in lower emissions.
Reuse of parts
The reuse of parts from written-off or non-repairable machines is an integral part of the operation of our technical department. When a machine is technically written off or beyond repair, it is completely dismantled. Parts that are no longer usable are disposed of in the waste stream. The parts that can be reused are added to the reuse stockpile. This allows us to extend the service life of our machines and parts.

Transport optimisation
Our own transport fleet consists of more than 60 transport combinations. All drivers are trained in accordance with the Code 95 refresher course. Furthermore, our logistics hubs play an important role in optimising each trip. This optimisation results in lower fuel consumption and, therefore, fewer emissions.

Electric machinery
The total fleet consists of more than 20,000 machines. A large proportion of these are electric. When replacing and/or renewing the already practically new fleet, investments are made in electric machines. In addition, traditional diesel machines are being electrified. Machines that are not yet available in electric versions are equipped with the innovative Stage V engines. A large number of machines are driven by people instead of an engine.
