Using Slip-Covered Chameleon Fine Furniture™ and knowing your personal neutral, your “go-to” color, your Bridge Color, it’s easy to have even two completely different styles in your home. The Chameleon Fine Furniture™ Raymond Love Seat is handsomely tailored in Barnave color Cypress from the Charlotte Moss Fabric Collection from Fabricut. Note the clean Mid-Century look is accented with cone legs.

Step 1.
CHOOSE INSPIRATION “KEY” FABRICS
Find your inspiration or “key” fabrics online (chameleonstyle.com) or from your local decorator fabric store.
Try not to think about where or how they will be used in your home. The more fabrics and the more colors in your choices, the better!
THE BRIDGE COLOR™ for the inspiration fabrics is in warm gold tones. We used the lush chenille of PK Lifestyles Grotto color - Gilded for our Chameleon Fine Furniture™ Jessica Sofa.
TIP: Use the Bridge Color™ on upholstered pieces that are not easily changeable and your inspiration fabrics as changeable accents such as toss pillows.
CHANGE LEGS FOR A DIFFERENT LOOK A classic turned leg style enhances the feel of the traditional floral linen. Tapered Block legs give a more contemporary feel to traditional lines of the Jessica Sofa.
Step 2.
FIND THE BRIDGE COLOR™ From your selected fabrics look for a color, or colors, which appear in most of your fabric choices. This common color is your personal neutral color, or in Chameleon Style® speak, your Bridge Color™.
Step 3.
COLLECT COORDINATES Take each of your inspiration fabrics and collect coordinating fabrics for each: solids, stripes, textures. Try not to edit or eliminate any of the coordinates too soon. Collect, collect collect!
Step 4.
ASSIGN ROLES
Choose your favorites, edit and assign where to use the fabrics. Use your Bridge Color™ in places that won’t change (upholstery, window treatments) and accent fabrics in changeable items like pillows & cushions.

Fabric, fabric, fabric…the best place to begin any design project! The vibrant colors of Zen Garden Darjeeling fabric pictured above are probably too much for the average eye. This bold print however, makes a great launching pad to pull out a variety of color ways or use in different doses.

By using the inspiration fabric in just a small Chameleon Style ® “Power Pillow” it’s easy to pull out just the right accent colors and incorporate bold color into a conventional neutral décor.

The inspiration fabrics and coordinating fabrics are best used as changeable accents such as toss pillows, “obis” and other accessories.
The most challenging part of the Chameleon Style® Design Method is to just collect as many coordinates and fabrics without eliminating any too soon because of texture or cost.

REVERSIBLE OBI WRAP
The Chameleon Style® Obi wrap reverses to a clean tailored look for Fall-Winter.
Once your inspiration and coordinate fabrics are selected, it becomes much easier and a lot of fun to put it all together. We used the bridge color(s) on the the pieces that either don't change or aren't easily changeable like the headboard and the duvet...but you'll notice we chose a different fabric for the reverse side of the duvet for more options. There's actually more to this entire bedding ensemble than meets the eye...we found that we can create even more combinations with just the flip of one or more items! Creating the Second look...

When purchasing lamps look for a shade that will go with several styling possibilities.
REVERSIBLE FLORAL! Just by turning around the customized floral arrangement an entirely different color palette is revealed!
It is still possible to have two more looks using just one Inspiration Fabric in your décor.
We chose Robert Allen’s Peony Vine color Birch because of its many color possibilities. Although a floral it has a somewhat more modern take by incorporating a background pattern.
This fabric can also reflect a “Granny Cottage” look to a more formal traditional style.
“Jessica” (left) is dressed in PKLifestyles Reba color Beige which is really a soft ivory with just hint of tone. We love this fabric as it is completely washable in the washing machine.
On the right we changed “Jessica” to a warmer chenille – PK Lifestyle’s Grotto color gilded. The luscious texture of this chenille makes it a cozy choice for Fall and Winter. We added a jet black throw pillow to add a little pop.
Two Looks with ONE Fabric!
Using your Inspiration Fabric in things that don’t change...
By using the Inspiration Fabric in the drapes for the window treatments we were able to achieve seasonal looks on the Slip-covered Chameleon Fine Furniture™ Jessica Sofa. The wall color is the Bridge Color™ for the two seasonal looks. It is Dusty Mountain from Behr (Home Depot). Its strong hue provides great back drop for the two different covers on the slip-covered sofa.

However, we are finishing up this book at a time when our country, the entire world, is fighting the Covid19 virus. It seems somewhat frivolous to be espousing great decorating ideas. But as there are two sides to any story, it is also evident that we are paying more attention to our homes and our surroundings. Your home will be healthier for all who abide within if it brings you the comfort, peace and joy you desire.
