Canberra Contemporary

Canberra Contemporary (formerly known as Canberra Contemporary Art Space) is a leading independent contemporary visual arts organisation in Canberra, Australia, that fosters the creation and exhibition of new, ambitious, and daring work by local, national, and international artists. Established in 1981, it serves as a center for innovation and a space for collaboration, experimentation, and discussion in the contemporary arts. The organisation operates through two primary sites—a main gallery in Parkes and a smaller project space, Platform, in Manuka—and is a member of the national Contemporary Arts Organisations Australia (CAOA) network.
