The Men of Prayer members are currently reading through the Catechism of the Catholic Church, at the suggestion of Mike Pryor. Jaime says this has been a great way to learn more about the Catholic faith. The men end each session by sharing some highs and lows and by praying together. Jaime takes his role as the head of his family very seriously. The Men of Prayer is just another way for him to make sure he’s doing his best in that role. But, as he admits, like all of us, he has a long way to go. And when Jaime has had to miss meetings for a week or two, he can tell that his prayer life isn’t quite the same.

“I can just tell when I’m not recentering each week with these guys,” he says. “I do start to drift in my prayer life.” Jaime is so thankful to have this group and the opportunity to grow in faith. He’s most grateful for all the men who paved the way for this group. “I want to be a positive influence on other men, just like other men have been an influence on me,” Jaime says. “It’s that brotherhood that you feel and get. It keeps me really focused.” All Catholic men are invited to come be a part of this group. The Men of Prayer does not require a commitment to attend the meeting each week.
