Western Hardwood Association is scheduling industry related speakers and roundtable work sessions for the spring meeting, April 25-27 in Ashland, Or.

The first joint meeting of the WHA and the Western Pallet Association is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct.2 at The Empress in Victoria, B.C.

Lumber Association of Southern California will have a traveling general membership and board meeting Feb. 2325, visiting Solvang, Morro Bay and Hearst Castle.

The association is advising members of the following new laws: Chapter 1450SBll37: Small Claims Court costs up lrom $6 and $12 to $8 and $16 respectively.

Chapter 366 and Chapter 1174: Two laws affecting the contracting-without-alicense group that it would be well to know more about.

Chapter 1177, A8762 Mountjoy: Affects the contractor's license bond which has been revised to include failure to pay
