Talpx Partners With csxnet

Talpx Inc. and csXnet have formed a strategic partnership to expand e-commerce within the building products industry.

The initial focus of the alliance will be to integrate Talpx's lumber and panel exchange into the csXnet suite of services. An electronic marketplace that extends to the building materials and construction industry, csXnet is jointly owned by Channelinx, Greenville, S.C., and the Construction Industry Exchange, comprised of 19 of the 2l federated dealer associations.

Members of csXnet that join Talpx will have access to reportedly the single largest online inventory of North American lumber and panel products, with over 200 mills representing nearly 40Vo of the lumber production in North America. Talpx buying members that join csXnet will be able to process transactions electronically using Channelinx's Trading Management Solution.

"With transaction volume growing so rapidly," noted Talpx president Jim Olmedo, "our members are asking for a technology solution to integrate into their existing systems. The csXnet alliance speeds that effort."
