Calling all Champions: H&F Giving launches new campaign
Local charity and Chamber member H&F Giving has launched an ambitious new campaign, A Better Hammersmith & Fulham, calling on the community to raise £100,000 by March 2026. The money raised will support grassroots organisations in the borough who are doing incredible work.
The campaign follows the release of H&F Giving’s recent report, Building a Strong and Connected Community, which highlights stark inequalities in Hammersmith & Fulham. The report found:
• 1 in 3 children in the borough are growing up in poverty
• 49% of residents over 65 are income deprived
• Both young adults (18–25) and older residents report high levels of loneliness and social isolation
Executive Director, Louise Wilson, said the report shows just how much need there is: “The research painted a really stark picture and we are determined to do something about it. At H&F Giving, we fund and support incredible local charities doing amazing work. This campaign is about giving them the resources to reach even more people.”
The charity is seeking 100 Champions, local businesses, community groups and individuals who each pledge to raise £1,000. Together, they will fundraise £100,000 to fund grassroots organisations that provide everything from safe after-school clubs to classes and support for adults with learning difficulties and community wellbeing programmes as well as much more.
Louise adds: “We hope the community will get behind this campaign. After all, these are your neighbours who are struggling, and this is your Hammersmith & Fulham.”
