Hello, I’m Aparna Jayanti Architecture graduate and Master’s student at the Manchester School of Architecture, exploring biodiversity and DfMA tools for, sustainable design using Revit and BIM based workflows. My background during my 4 years in practice projects across India and USA through various scales and schemes and undergraduate study at the B.M.S. School of architecture, Bengaluru, India shaped how I developed my skills and upgraded my knowledge based on the responsibiities, I believe my postgraduate studies have moved between two areas: examining socio-spatial disparity through urban commons and ‘right to the city’ principles, then developing computational design tools and parametric families in revit to create generative designs.. Alongside my studies I take on freelance graphic design work and explore storytelling through photography and art, keeping my design thinking broad and culturally grounded.
Experience gained in UK along with M.Arch (2024-2026) Worked as a Graduate teaching assistant (GTA ) for 2 years at MSA , Architectural Digital Design Lab . Conducted Revit workshops beginner to advance. Had the opportunity to attend BIM Liecester conference and gain advanced insights about upcoming BIM 2.0. Worked under Architect Jo Cook at Studio Cx5, Manchester and gained practical experience on adaptive reuse, retrofitting & Landscaping projects across Uk as well as building my skill on speculative deisgn theories Using Blender and Rhino inside revit along with rendering ;platforms like Unreal engine. Extended my skills with construction drawing set, Project visualizations and Client presentations while I was remotely working for Susan and Chris Touchette. Learning USA building codes and delivering drawings and schematic technology drawings acted to my strong foundation.
