“Organized for the purpose of preserving and enhancing hunting opportunities promoting outdoor education and the conservation of wildlife and wildlands in Alaska.”
WHAT DOES APHA DO FOR YOU? • Provides full time representation in Washington D.C. and Juneau for the guiding industry • Provides a sounding board for industry related issues and concerns • Provides a respected voice for your concerns with State and Federal agencies • Creates and maintains “Conservation Partnership” with numerous other likeminded organizations • Works full-time to promote, preserve and enhance wildlife and wildland conservation in Alaska
• Works full-time to preserve and enhance future hunting and access opportunities in Alaska • Provides a representative for several annual meetings of national guide and outfitter associations who work together on issues relating to the professional guiding industry • Provides full-time representation at Alaska Board of Game meetings • Works continuously to stem unneeded regulations and to help develop better state and federal rules pertaining to the guiding industry.

• Works full-time to provide stewardship for the guiding industry in Alaska
• Provides full-time representation at State of Alaska Big Game Commercial Services Board
• To institute and secure the general adoption of a high and sportsmanlike conception of wildlife and hunting of game; • To promote hunting by fair chase: the pursuit of trophy in a legal and sportsmanlike manner, without herding, driving or chasing trophies with the use of mechanically powered equipment; • Consistent with the practice of hunting, fishing, and photography, to promote and assist in the conservation of fauna and flora and to cooperate with government officials concerned with the conservation of flora and fauna;
• To assist in the prevention of illegal or unsportsmanlike practice by anyone in the practice of professional hunting or by anyone engaged in the sports of hunting, fishing or photography; • To promote and safeguard the interests of all members of this corporation; • To endorse and foster a code of business ethics in accord with ethical standards and the laws and regulations of the state of Alaska.
