Anne Gibson: Anne Gibson, Business Consultant, DextraData GmbH (Logipad). Aircraft IT: How did Logipad by DextraData get started? AG: The Electronic Flight Bag and Electronic Flight Folder Solution named ‘Logipad’ can trace its beginnings back to 2002. After a request from a German Airline, Logipad was developed. It was created by in-house developers and a team that worked very closely with the customers. Even today we are in regular communications with pilots and cabin crew members, as well as
maintenance staff and back-office teams to constantly expand and improve the functionalities of the Logipad Application. Working directly and closely with our customers is one of the most important parts to us. DextraData itself was founded back in 1995 when
there were still ZIP drives instead of clouds and Bytes were still written without Giga. IT was just a cost factor. A quarter of a century later, DextraData stores entire data centers in the cloud, calculates in petabytes and understands IT as an important part of the digital value chain.
