Progress in Stable High Pressure Synthesis of Diamond
Recently, the research group of Wang Xianlong, Institute of Computational Physics and Quantum Materials Research, Hefei Institute of Material Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made new progress in the study of stable high-pressure synthesis of diamond. Studies have shown that B and N doping can regulate the electronic structure properties (semiconductor, metal, superconductivity), reduce the formation energy, and enhance the stability of diamond alkene at room temperature and pressure.
At present, the diamond alkene synthesized by compressing doublelayer graphene under high pressure is experimentally converted back to graphene after withdrawal, which is difficult to exist stably at normal temperature and pressure.
