We hold the key…to finding, evaluating, and purchasing your next bed and breakfast. After years of relocating and traveling all over the world for work, Rob Sales and his wife Jane decided to leave corporate America behind and head in another direction. In the summer of 1991, they attended their very first “So You Want to Be an Innkeeper” seminar and acted on their dream in 1997, when they purchased the Magnolia Place Inn in Savannah, Georgia. While Rob activated his Georgia Real Estate License, the couple purchased their second property, The Hamilton Turner Inn, also in Savannah. Jane became a manager/innkeeper of the Presidents Quarters Inn in Savannah, where she was supposed to be for six months – and years later she’s still there!
Rob and his wife were born and raised in Western North Carolina. Today, Rob is a licensed Realtor in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

THE RED HOUSE INN Featured on Magazine Cover

Originally, this house was built in 1851 as a trading post for Leander Sams Gash, one of Brevard's founders. During the Civil War, trade with Charleston nearly ceased and the trading post became the Moore Hotel starting in 1861. It later served as a boarding house to serve Low Country visitors. In 1896, the building was rented to the Fitch Taylors who used it as a mission school known as the Epworth Institute, the forerunner of the Brevard Institute (later Brevard College). After which time, the Red House continued to function as a private school run by a Miss Stancil. In 1912, the house was remodeled as 2 apartments. Since then, it has been the County's first courthouse & a family home. It is convenient to downtown and was near the railroad depot in the days when many people arrived by train. In the early 1900's West Probart Street was one of the most desirable streets to live on. Since the mid-1980's, the Red House has operated as a Bed & Breakfast. MOUNTAIN TIME IN THE SMOKYS | 7
