Preface

will be a spiritual journey for the reader. Writing it was surely a spiritual journey for me. i set out to describe k¥¢£a’s V¥nd§vana pastimes and quickly discovered my journey — this book’s completion. it is my great pleasure to now my indebtedness to them. to readers of the “k¥¢£a in V¥nd§vana” series. When i told my cousin Robert that for two years Mah§r§ja was living in New Vraja-dh§ma and indebtedness to Mah§r§ja for his truly selfless service to the cause of “i am unable to repay you.”

i also offer thanks to the devotees who donated towards the and other disciples in Russia. gave their time to read samples of the manuscript and took part in a brainstorming session that helped me find the best way to present New Vraja-dh§ma’s glories to the greater community of devotees. i offer very special thanks to His Holiness indradyumna Swami. He is the most enthusiastic advocate of my books and my most dedi words of appreciation are what keep me writing. But the one who the devotees of New Vraja-dh§ma spontaneously and continually encouraged me — for obvious reasons — giving me the strength to keep writing and to cross the many obstacles that arose along the way.

This book was five years in the making. in the last two years my involvement in the leadership and management of the Hungarian y§tr§ i thank those devotees who sympathised with my undertaking and shouldered the responsibility of ¼r¦la Prabhup§da’s mission in Hungary. My self-imposed marathon over the last several years became his way so that i could concentrate my time and energy on finishing this book. And he never complained.

By the kind assistance of these wonderful souls i have been able to complete this book. Without them it would not have been possible.
